About Joel Gibbs

Joel Gibbs is known as
“the man of a thousand voices”

(actually, more like 783 - but, y’know… marketing is everything).

With a repertoire that includes over 100 “celebrity” impressions - along with an endless variety of cartoon voices, characters and dialects - Joel’s award-winning work has been heard in more than 40,000 projects worldwide. This body of work includes: broadcast, digital audio, corporate narration, medical and compliance tutorials, audio-books, IVR prompts, animation, on-hold messaging, movie trailers, video games, podcasts, political ads, ringtones and countless applications for agencies, studios, websites, stations, advertisers and companies everywhere. Among these include thousands of radio, television, and web commercials that have aired over the decades for car dealers, furniture stores, restaurants, attorneys, jewelers, banks and virtually every imaginable retail and service category.

From 1996-2007, Joel Gibbs hosted Moviemania!, Everything Entertainment and The Movie Show, local and nationally-syndicated radio talk shows where listeners across America gathered to quench their thirst for everything they love about movies, music and TV. Joel’s obsession, passion and knowledge of the entertainment industry made these shows some of the most original programs on the air.

Recently, he served as director of the Love The Arts In Philadelphia campaign, working with notables like Billy Crystal, Julie Andrews, Tony Bennett, John Lithgow, Reba McEntire, Danny DeVito, William Shatner, John Legend, Bobby Flay, Jane Seymour, Jimmy Kimmel and many others, helping to promote events, exhibits and performances at Philadelphia’s major cultural institutions.

Over the past several years, long-form interviews with actor Kevin Bacon, Broadway producer Harold Prince, Grammy-winner Dionne Warwick, Star Trek’s George Takei, author Lisa Scottoline, musician Peter Asher and many others were heard via the Love The Arts podcast series.

Joel Gibbs is a member of the Critics’ Choice Association, appearing as a panelist and guest on many TV and radio programs. For 15 years, Joel served as the official emcee for the Academy Awards “Oscar Night America” event in Philadelphia. His "late-night" TV talk show, Live Wired aired on Comcast and earned him - as producer, writer and host - a Cable Ace Award nomination and the national Telly Award for “America's Best Talk Show."

Most days you can find Joel behind the microphone, laying down VO tracks for commercials and audio projects, interviewing notable personalities, and lending his professional voices to your script.
